Bluestone Patios

Pitch is everything. We pitch the patio away from the house so water runs off, not in. Tight joints, level surface, no rocking pieces. The base does the heavy lifting underneath.

Full-color bluestone, thermal bluestone, and Pennsylvania bluestone. Stone dust setting beds for natural look. Mortar over concrete slab for tighter joints and longer life in heavy use areas.

Retaining Walls
Block, boulder, and stone retaining walls for grade changes, sloped yards, and erosion control. Property managers, builders, and homeowners call us when soil is moving or a slope needs to be cut and held. We size the wall to the load.
Drainage is what kills retaining walls. We install drainage stone, filter fabric, and weeps so water never builds up behind the wall. The batter and the tieback get done right.
Materials We Work With
Segmental retaining wall block, natural fieldstone, granite boulders, and poured concrete depending on height, load, and look. Geogrid for taller walls. Drainage stone and filter fabric on every job, no exceptions.

Concrete pavers, bluestone, granite cobblestones, brick, and poured concrete. Bedding sand or mortar setting depending on use. Edge restraint in steel, plastic, or concrete curb to keep everything tight.

Bricks and Blocks
Brick and CMU block work for foundations, garden walls, chimneys, steps, piers, and commercial structures. Builders, GCs, and homeowners hire us for the parts of the job that have to be plumb, square, and tied in clean to the rest of the build.
Tooled joints, plumb lines, and clean returns at every corner. We set up string, level every course, and watch the bond pattern. No wavy walls, no fat joints, no surprises.
Materials We Work With
Common brick, face brick, thin brick, fire brick for fireplaces, and CMU block in standard, reinforced, and split-face. Type N, S, and M mortars depending on the load and exposure. Color matched to existing work.

Veneer and Repair
Stone veneer on chimneys, foundations, columns, and exterior walls. Repointing, patch work, and full repair of cracked or loose stone, brick, or block. Homeowners hire us when an old wall is failing and they want it fixed, not torn down.
We match the existing stone or brick, mix mortar to color, and tie new work into old without a visible seam. Repointing is done by raking out the failed joint and tooling the new one to match.

Stucco
Three-coat stucco for exterior walls on residential and commercial buildings. Homeowners hire us for new builds, additions, and refinishes. Builders bring us in when the spec calls for traditional stucco done by hand, not synthetic systems sprayed on real quick.
Scratch coat, brown coat, finish coat. Each one cures before the next goes on. Proper lath, weather barriers, and control joints so the wall does not crack when the building moves.

What to Expect
Three-coat stucco needs cure time between coats. A typical wall takes 7 to 14 working days from prep to finish. Cold and wet weather extend the schedule. We do not rush the cure.
Tile
Tile work on floors, walls, showers, backsplashes, and exterior wall applications. Homeowners hire us for kitchens, baths, mudrooms, and front entryways. We handle ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, and large-format tile, both indoor and outdoor jobs.
The substrate is what makes tile last. We check for flat, install the right backer board, waterproof where it matters, and lay the tile to a clean grout line. No lippage, no hollow spots.

Flat stone walkways, terraces, step treads, and accent areas. Homeowners and landscape designers come to us when the project calls for hand-cut flat stone instead of pavers or poured concrete. The look is more natural and the surface holds up.
We hand-cut each piece to fit, dry-lay or set on mortar depending on the design, and check every stone for rocking before we move on. Tight joints, level top, no movement underfoot.

New Walls
New construction walls in stone, brick, or block. Builders, architects, and homeowners hire us when a new wall is part of an addition, a new build, or a property feature. We size, footing, and tie in to the existing structure.
Footings, rebar, and weeps where they belong. The wall gets sized to the load, the bond pattern matches the spec, and the tie-in to existing structure is done so the new work moves with the old.
